The history of Agnes Scott College has been told several times since the foundation of the college in 1889, but never from the perspective of its students. This project, first undertaken in spring 2017 by the students and faculty of the History Department and by the librarians and archivists of McCain Library, aims to change that.
The History of Agnes Scott College is a multi-year project conducted by Agnes Scott students participating in the History methods course, HIS 290: The Historical Imagination. Each new generation of students continues the research into the history of this Georgia-based college for women and contributes a new chapter to its historical narrative.
